Today a bunch of people from some guild called [JUG] gathered a bunch of people in their guild -- one warrior in a Santa hat and red armor played Santa, and a ton of other guildies dressed up like elves and made Xunlai runs to keep "Santa" fully stocked. They had people lining up in LA to tell him what they wanted for Christmas and get a gift. I walked away with a slice of pie, a creme brulee, and a zealous gold bow. Afterwards I used an elf tonic and hung out to watch the fun.
It's really nice to see people getting into that holiday spirit!

Is this confirmed? Shing Jea boardwalk was open last year during Wintersday?
I really need to get into the boardwalk so that I can waste lots of money on my Lucky title. Surely A-Net wants us all to use this gold sink, so kindly open it up! CBA to wait for Canthan New Year or Dragon Festival. Boardwalk is open too rarely.

Weren't the rings in LA for supporting Grenth/Dwayna?

When I'd gone through all the districts in Kamadan looking for new players to gift, I dropped into LA briefly and there was someone (w/ Gideon in his/her name) having trivia contests and giving away green weapons as prizes. (S)He said (s)he'd accumulated 120 greens and was giving most of them away. That's a lot more storage slots cleared up than I did.

Each district will have its own little mini battle type thing between Grenth and Dwayna. So that people can typically get the hat they want they try to make it Even Districts = Dwayna and Odd = Grenth. Now this doesn't hold for all districts because some people are just nasty that way. But you should be able to bounce districts to figure out which one is winning.
Also it is likely that as usual there will be a small time gap between the Euro districts and the american districts. Or a gap between the low and high districts. This way you should be able to get both caps in one run. Or however many there are.

I think that is clear enough. Thanks Gaile!
We can still have even and uneven districts afaik. If not, I'd suggest making LA the dwayna hat place, and Kamadan the Grenth has, seeing as both towns reward the same hats for both deities.

That would sound good, but some people may only have Prophecies or Nightfall, and thus only getting one hat

Yeh, I know. I district hopped last year, I just thought the wording was a bit weird on the website. Looks like Gaile's cleared it up anyway.

I feel your pain. If I only knew Peppermint Candy Canes would have gotten the shaft last year and apparently again this year then I would have really tried stocking up 2 years ago. I suppose if they did bring Peppermint ones back with the collectors noone would ever see issues with DP again because everyone and they're grandmas would be farming for a gazillion of them.
Oh well...such is life.
